SCE Buckle Sponsorship Form

Sponsor List Updated 9-17-09 - Please Thank Them!!!

Event Photographer Lynn Glazer Imagery http://www.photo.lynnesite.com/

Invitations to qualified riders are in the mail and due back no later than September 21. No refunds after September 21. Contact your Region Trail Trial Chairperson if you are not on this list and feel you are qualified.

The arrival date will be Fri Sept 25th anytime during the day until 7pm.  I would not advise driving the 6 mile dirt road into the camp at night and we need to direct you on parking.  Please leave early enough to arrive before 7pm.  Your entry (rider/companion) will include your Fri/Sat nights stay.  If you want to stay Sunday it will be an additional $10 per person.  This will be available on the registration forms.

ALL CAMPING RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE THROUGH THE SCE CHAIRMAN.  It is a private facility and no other reservations can be made.

Highway/Road Travel: (Yes Big Bear Lake MapQuest’s) I-10 to Orange Ave north turn east on  E. Lugonia Ave (Hwy 38) and continue on Highway 38 out of Redlands.  E. Lugonia Ave will change names to Mill Creek Rd but remains Hwy 38.  Stay on Hwy 38 up the mountain (Plenty of passing lanes, gradual climbs, nice road) until you come down into the valley and hit a “T” intersection.  Make a left on Big Bear Blvd (which is still Hwy 38) and proceed to Green Way Drive and turn right which is still Hwy 38.  The airport will be on the left and then make a left turn at Hwy 38 (Do not turn right on Hwy 18) at stop sign.  Make a right on Van Dusen Canyon Rd (also NFS road 3N09) and then its 5-6 miles on dirt road.  Follow the signs to Holcomb Valley Scout Ranch.  You will drive past the Holcomb Valley NFS Camp ground to get to the Holcomb Valley Scout Ranch.  From I-10 and Orange Ave to the ranch is about 1.5 hrs drive time.

DO NOT’s: Do Not try to GPS Holcomb Valley Scout Ranch since we have been informed you will get lost for sure.  GPS to Big Bear and then follow the maps from there.

Do Not take Hwy 330 out of San Bernardino due to tight/steep turns and major construction at Big Bear Dam.  By going up the Hwy 38 you will miss this one lane restricted mess.

Do Not take Hwy 18 out of Lucerne Valley due to vey steep/tight/hair pin turns and trailers not being advisable on that road.

Watch for more details as they develop!
